It is very important to us that your project not only looks beautiful, but also functions well and gets done without causing you stress or headaches. We pride ourselves on our ability to complete projects on time and within budget. Our design process helps ensure that this happens every time. Here’s what you can expect on a typical project:
Understanding Your Needs
Our design process begins with an initial visit to your home or office. It is then that we assess the scope of the job and determine the best way to proceed. We also discuss your goals, preferences and priorities as well as what you want to invest in your home.
We ask each client to complete a lifestyle questionnaire and often encourage them to solicit input from other family members or colleagues that will be using the space. This gives us insight into how you live in your home or place of business and helps us learn your likes and dislikes as well as your style and color preferences. The questionnaire is a valuable tool for both you and us since it helps save a great deal of time as we establish your taste and design objectives.
Creating Your Design
After the scope of the job is determined, we will draw up a letter of agreement which outlines what we will do and how we charge for the various services we provide. Once the agreement is signed, we begin putting a design presentation together with floor plans, color schemes, furniture and fabric selections along with floor coverings and window treatments.
Once the presentation is made and you are pleased with the ideas, we have our professional contractors and installers come into your home and estimate what the labor costs of the project might be as well as take any necessary measurements. We then compile the estimates so we can determine the actual cost of the project. Once the necessary deposits are made, we place orders for all furniture, lighting, cabinetry and window treatments that are required to complete your project.
Implementing Your Design
We start the build out of your design by having our experienced contractors come in and perform all the background work (flooring, cabinetry, drywall, etc.) that needs to be done. Once this work is complete, we schedule the remaining installations. At this time the furniture is delivered, window treatments hung and art and accessories are placed. Your finished project is ready to be enjoyed!
